What people use this tool for

Contact and location pages

Add a marked map to a business website so visitors can find you without leaving the page.

Example: A cafΓ© embeds a zoomed-in map with a marker on its front door.
Blog posts and articles

Illustrate a travel story or local guide with an interactive map of the place you are writing about.

Example: A travel blogger embeds a map of a hiking trailhead in the trip report.
Event announcements

Show exactly where an event happens with a marked, zoomed map visitors can pan and explore.

Example: A wedding site embeds the venue map so guests can plan their route.

How it's calculated

The generator outputs a self-contained HTML document using the Leaflet mapping library (loaded from CDN) with OpenStreetMap tiles. The iframe variant wraps the same document in a srcdoc attribute. Both respect the zoom limits of the tile layer (1–19).

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an API key to use the embedded map?

No. The generated code uses Leaflet with OpenStreetMap tiles, which require no key β€” just paste the snippet and it works.

What is the difference between the HTML and iframe options?

The standalone HTML is a complete page you can save as a .html file. The iframe snippet is for embedding the map inside an existing page, like a blog post or CMS.

Will the embedded map work on mobile?

Yes. Leaflet maps are touch-friendly β€” visitors can pinch-zoom and drag on phones and tablets.

Can I change the map after embedding it?

Regenerate the snippet with new coordinates here and replace the old code on your site. The map itself always loads fresh tiles, so it never goes stale.

Is it free for commercial websites?

Yes β€” Leaflet is open source and OpenStreetMap tiles are free for normal website use under the tile usage policy. Very high-traffic sites should check the OSM tile usage policy or use their own tile provider.
