Find ZIP Codes in Radius
Enter a center point and a radius to list every ZIP code area that falls inside — plotted on the map and exportable to CSV.
Postal-code areas come from OpenStreetMap boundary relations plus address points (Overpass API). Coverage varies by country — dense in much of Europe, patchier in rural areas. Results are the codes whose mapped centre falls inside your radius.
How to use this tool
Search a place or enter a ZIP code as the center.
Enter miles or kilometers around the center.
Click pins for ZIP details, or export the list as CSV.
What people use this tool for
Build a ZIP list for direct-mail or ad campaigns around a store.
Define service areas by the ZIP codes they cover.
Scope a study area by its postal codes.
How it's calculated
The center is geocoded via Nominatim; a bounding box is derived from the radius. ZIP code areas are fetched from OpenStreetMap via the Overpass API (postal_code boundaries and addr:postcode nodes) and filtered to those within the radius of the center using the haversine formula.

Frequently asked questions
Where does the ZIP code data come from?
OpenStreetMap's postal_code boundaries and address nodes, queried live through the Overpass API.
How is 'inside the radius' decided?
Each ZIP area's representative point must be within the radius of the center, measured with the haversine formula.
Why might some ZIPs be missing?
OpenStreetMap coverage varies; rural areas may lack mapped postal boundaries.
Can I export the results?
Yes — the full list downloads as CSV with ZIP code and coordinates.
Does it work outside the US?
The Overpass query works worldwide, but 'ZIP code' labeling and coverage are best in the US.
What is the maximum radius?
Up to 100 miles / 160 km to keep queries fast and within API limits.
Are PO Box-only ZIPs included?
Only ZIPs with mapped geometry in OpenStreetMap appear.
Is this data real-time?
Results reflect current OpenStreetMap data at the moment you search.
