Turn CSV Coordinates into a Map

Paste rows of latitude and longitude β€” with optional labels β€” and get an interactive map with a numbered marker for every point. Bad rows are flagged with line numbers instead of breaking the whole plot.

Paste coordinate rows and press Plot. Each row becomes a numbered marker; click a marker for its coordinates.

How to use this tool

1
Format your rows

One point per line as latitude, longitude, optionally followed by a label β€” for example: 48.8584,2.2945,Eiffel Tower.

2
Paste and plot

Paste your text and press Plot on map. Every valid row becomes a numbered marker, and the map zooms to fit them all.

3
Fix flagged rows

Rows with bad coordinates or out-of-range values are listed with their line numbers, so you can correct just those lines and re-plot.

4
Manage and export

Remove individual points from the list, click any marker for its coordinates, or export the clean set back to CSV.

What people use this tool for

Survey and field data

Plot GPS points collected in the field to review coverage and spot outliers before analysis.

Example: A researcher plots 80 soil-sample coordinates to check the survey grid is complete.
Store and asset lists

Turn a spreadsheet of branch or asset coordinates into a visual map for planning and reporting.

Example: A retailer maps 45 store coordinates from a spreadsheet to review regional coverage.
Cleaning coordinate data

Use per-row validation to find typos β€” swapped lat/lng, missing decimals, or out-of-range values β€” before importing elsewhere.

Example: An analyst pastes a messy export and immediately sees which 6 of 200 rows need fixing.

How it's calculated

Rows are parsed in the browser: latitude must be within Β±90 and longitude within Β±180. Markers use WGS84 decimal degrees, and the map fits to the bounding box of all valid points with padding. No data leaves your browser.

Frequently asked questions

What format should my CSV use?

latitude, longitude with an optional third column for the label, one point per line. Commas, tabs, and semicolons all work as separators, and a header row is skipped automatically.

What happens to rows with errors?

They are listed with their line number and the reason β€” not a valid pair, or out of range β€” while all valid rows still plot. Fix the flagged lines and press Plot again.

Is there a row limit?

No hard limit, but a few thousand markers is the practical sweet spot for smooth map interaction in a browser.

Can I remove a single point after plotting?

Yes β€” every plotted row appears in the side list with a remove button, so you can drop outliers without re-pasting everything.

Is my data uploaded to a server?

No. Parsing and plotting happen entirely in your browser, and the export is generated on your device.
